The NRRA provides the best rowing in
Fairfield County. We don't do restaurants or pools or spas because all of
our energies are focused on providing the highest quality instruction and the
safest rowing experience you can find.
Our racers win gold medals and our
recreational rowers have a blast.
Young or old, beginner or experienced, our
doors are open to people from all walks of life.
Youth Rowing:Our youth programs include everything from
Recreational After-School rowing to Elite Racing Teams that compete at the USRowing National Championships.
Outreach: One of the truly unique things about the NRRA is our
Reach Out And Row (ROAR)
Community Outreach program. ROAR provides the wonderful opportunity of
rowing to any and all at-risk youth in the greater Norwalk area.
College Summer Rowing:
Our summer college rowing
will teach you how to scull, keep you in shape and provide some racing
opportunities.
Lightweight Boys finish 2nd in the C-level
Final-This morning found good water and cool conditions for the
Reperchage. A strong race, the NRRA boys found the competition at
a whole new level of speed. Finishing 5th in the Rep placed them
in the C-final that raced at 1:20pm today. In a very tight race that separated just a bit in the 3rd 500m, the NRRA boys couldn't quite catch
Sarasota. They closed the gap from the Reps but it wasn't enough.
The young crew learned a lot and are ready to bring back their
experience to the team and start preparing for next year's return trip
to the USRowing Youth National Championships.

Lightweight Boys Advance to Reperchage-
Lots of good racing this morning at Lake Harsha on a beautiful morning.
The boys 4+ raced in their heat this morning and placed 5th of 5.
When they saw they weren't going to place top 3 (advancing directly to
the semis) they conserved their energy and coasted to the line.
Unfortunately a 2 hour storm delay this afternoon extended to a complete
cancellation. The boys reperchage (the rep is another qualifier
between the heats and the semis) was moved to Saturday morning where the
weather looks much nicer! They hope to make the top 3 and advance to the
Semis. If they place 4-6, they will be in the C final. For

Lightweight Boys 4+ prepares for National
Championships- Today, after a REAL early morning flight, the Ltwt. 4
of Lane, Tommy, Clay, Ben and Luke, arrived at Lake Harsha in
Cincinnati, OH. Today consisted of a practice on the race course
to learn some new landmarks and to get the travel kinks out. It's
hot but no different than the last week of practice. The forecast
looks for a great day of racing tomorrow in their qualifying heat at
10am. Check back here for more updates-charles & liz
