Who can
come to camp?
Students
who are going into the 6th-8th grade are eligible to participate. Students
must qualify for free or reduced lunch in Norwalk Public Schools or be nominated
by their teacher, counselor, or principal, or program director in order to
participate.
How much
does camp cost?
The Rowing and Science Summer Camp is free to participants. A donation of $5
per day is requested to help to cover the cost of supplies. However, everyone
will get to participate, whether or not you can pay.
What if I
don’t know how to swim?
NO
PROBLEM! We won’t ever be IN the water. We stay inside the boat and everyone
always wear a life jacket. You don’t have to know how to swim to learn how to
row.
How will I
get to camp?
Participants
are responsible for providing their own ride to practice one way. Students in
the morning group will be provided with transportation home. Students in the
afternoon group will be provided with transportation to camp.
How can I
sign up?
Send in your contact
information below or return your application and paperwork to your teacher,
counselor, or program director.
Only eight people can be in each group, so
don’t wait to turn it in or your might lose your spot!
