The Racing Team
is the NRRA’s competitive youth
rowing program. It is divided into a Boy's team and a Girl's team. The
Boy's and Girl's squads are divided into Varsity and Novice, with the Novices made up of
athletes with less than one year of rowing experience. These athletes race
against other Novice teams for their first year of rowing.
No experience is necessary to join!

All travel expenses to regattas are
included (hotel/bus/entry fees/food)
Regularly qualify for the USRowing National
Championships
The Development Team is a three day per week
program for younger athletes. Emphasis is on technique development, physical
conditioning, and of course, fun!
If you're not sure about rowing, try the
Introductory Week in March. You can then decide on either the Racing Team or the
Development Team. If you decide to join the Racing Team, your Introductory
fee will be credited towards your Racing fee.
Scholarships are available for all of NRRA’s youth programs through the Matthew
Zucker Memorial Fund. You may
download an application form here. Scholarships
are awarded on rolling basis throughout the year. An interview with the athlete
and a parent is required before the start of the program.
